Hola
Hello
About me
Thank you for taking the time to learn about my story.
My name is Fernando Correa, I am 32 years old, and I live in Lima, Peru. I have loved aviation since I was a child. I was born in Chile, in Patagonia, and I am the father of a two-year-old boy. I live with my wife.
I completed my studies in Business Administration and worked for LATAM Airlines for seven years. Then the pandemic caused a company reorganization, and we were laid off. I tried my luck in the United States for a while during the pandemic, since it was very difficult to find a job in Chile at that time. During that time, I met my wife. I only stayed in the United States for three months before finally moving back to Peru, where my wife lived.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, it has been difficult for me to find employment. That's why in 2021 I started a project called "FC SCENERY," where I develop photorealistic landscapes for flight simulators. This is my only income to support my family. Lately, I've had to cut costs to the bone, but I've still managed to provide for them.
Everything was going well until the end of August 2025. I had to go to the emergency room because I started feeling unwell and there was something strange on my skin. I thought it was just a normal rash or something that wouldn't be serious, especially since it was on my legs. After several tests, they finally diagnosed the worst:
SKIN CANCER
This was devastating news for me and my family, which, as I mentioned, consists only of my wife and my two-year-old son.
The treatment is very expensive, insurance doesn't cover anything related to it, and the waiting lists for care at the public hospital are very long. My wife also had to quit her job to help me at home and support my young son.
UPDATE JANUARY 2026:
Since I haven't been able to receive the appropriate treatment due to lack of funds and because I can't afford it, I've only been diagnosed with a life expectancy of no more than six months, as the metastasis has progressed significantly.
Only if I begin the necessary treatment by mid-February can I be saved. Because it's skin cancer, it's more likely to be reversed if treated early.
To do this, I need to raise $50,000 to cover the cost of the medications, which will have to be purchased in the United States since they are not available in South America.
My life depends on each of your donations and the support you can provide. I know and have faith that with your support, I can achieve this.
On behalf of my family, I thank you for any contribution you can make to save me.
Thank you all for knowing my story.
